Biochar-Improved Growth and Physiology of Ehretia asperula under Water-Deficit Condition
نویسندگان
چکیده
Ehretia asperula’s physiological responses to growth performance following oak-wood biochar application under water stress conditions (WSC) and no (non-WSC) were investigated in a pot experiment. Biochar (WB) was incorporated into the soil at concentrations of 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 tons ha?1 before transplanting asperula pots. One month after transplanting, plants put by withholding for ten days. Water significantly decreased physiology asperula. Under WSC, WB 15 increased plant height; number leaves; fresh dry weight roots, shoots, Fv/Fm; chlorophyll content; leaf relative moisture as well ion leakage. The enhanced drought tolerance lowering wilting point. findings suggest that concentration could be recommended ensuring best highest plants.

Effects of Superabsorbents on Growth and Physiological Responses of Date Palm Seedling under Water Deficit Conditions
Irrigation is an inevitable part of agriculture which determines crop yield and thus food security. In modern era of agriculture, crop yield is determined on the basis of crop production per unit of water-use instead of crop production per land unit area. Deficit irrigation is introduced as a strategy for controlling water resources that leads to water resource preservation. Date palm requires...
متن کاملMicroorganisms (AMF and PSB) interaction on linseed productivity under water-deficit condition
The relationship between arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and their associated bacteriacan be has great importance for sustainable agriculture especially in the case of highlymycorrhizal plants such as linseed. To evaluate the possible effect of AMF in association withphosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) on linseed plants, a 2-yr factorial experiment wasconducted based on a randomized comple...
متن کاملGenetic and physiological controls of growth under water deficit.
The sensitivity of expansive growth to water deficit has a large genetic variability, which is higher than that of photosynthesis. It is observed in several species, with some genotypes stopping growth in a relatively wet soil, whereas others continue growing until the lower limit of soil-available water. The responses of growth to soil water deficit and evaporative demand share an appreciable ...

Study the photosynthetic pigments and phenolic compounds of safflower in response to foliar application of melatonin under water deficit condition
In order to study the effect of melatonin foliar application on photosynthetic pigments’ composition, phenolic compounds and soluble sugars on plants grown from different seed quality of safflower under water deficit condition, two field trials were conducted at Aburaihan Campus, University of Tehran in 2017 and 2018 growing seasons. The experimantal design was split-factorial randomized comple...
